Corporate and site policies provide governance and consistency for day-to-day operational activities. Policies provide guidelines and clarity to deal with accountability issues or activities that are of critical importance to a company, such as, health and safety, legal liabilities, regulatory requirements or other issues that have serious consequences. While policies are not required by law, they play a pivotal role in the development, management and maintenance of procedures.
