Ken Davenport

Project Manager

Ken Davenport brings 30 years of refining experience to TDS. During his time with Mobil Oil Corporation, Ken served in several different capacities including process foreman, plant expansion start-up supervisor, and area execution supervisor. His extensive first-hand knowledge of refinery operations has enabled him his expertise to the development of effective training programs and many other learning solutions.

Prior to joining TDS, Ken developed operating manuals and start-up procedures for a “grass roots” Cyclohexane unit for the Mobil Chemical Olefins and Aromatics Plant in Beaumont, Texas. As Area Execution Supervisor at the Mobil Oil Beaumont Refinery, Ken set direction for the operation of the Sulfur and HDS Complexes including budgeting, personnel development, training, goals, safety, quality, and environmental compliance. He supervised another “grass-roots” start-up of a 500 LT/D Sulfur Recovery Complex and the development of operating/training manuals and materials. He has also planned, coordinated, and supervised more than 30 turnarounds.

Ken is especially experienced in the fields of amine treating, sulfur recovery, HDS, and FCCU processes and in developing and editing petrochemical related technical materials.
