Senior Sales/Business Development Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for prospecting new business and closing sales primarily with domestic refining, petrochemical, pipeline, and midstream oil and gas production companies. The focus is on building new business relationships, developing proposals, and closing contracts. Project range should be $300K to more than $1MM. Position plays a key role as part of the TDS Leadership Team to strategically communicate and support the vision.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, plan and execute a sales strategy
- Identify, contact and develop business opportunities with prospective new clients
- Conduct sales meetings and presentations at C-level to qualify prospects
- Develop and create client proposals for initial assessments and long term training/consulting engagements
- Create new strategic sales partnership opportunities and relationships to help add value and referral business to TDS
- Maintain working knowledge of TDS services, solutions and products
- Meet annual prospecting and sales revenue goals
- Maintain detailed records of sales efforts in CRM
- Meet monthly and annual metrics in meetings, shows, proposals and contracts

REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering or related field
- At least ten (10) years of direct sales experience in petroleum consulting services with a focus on human performance and workforce development
- At least three (3) years’ experience selling to prospects at the director and executive levels
- Consistent track record of achieving sales goals with specific experience selling services that exceed $1MM
- Direct experience and usage of CRM tools
- At least eight (8) years’ experience working in MS Office Suite of applications
- Experience working in the petroleum industry

WORKING CONDITIONS
Most work is performed in an office setting. Frequent travel is required to prospective customer sites that may include downtown offices, refineries and chemical plant operating units. Individual must be able to operate a laptop computer as well as various pieces of office equipment including copy machines, plotters, printers and phone systems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical demands for the position may include lifting and moving objects weighing up to ten pounds; sitting for long periods of time (6-8 hours); traveling to client sites and walking inside client plants and operating units.
