TDS is pleased to welcome John Wilson as Client Solutions Manager. John has over 25 years’ experience in the polymers and petrochemical industry, including plant operations, plant maintenance, and small capital construction projects. His broad-based petrochemical experience has enabled him to apply operations knowledge to the development of effective training programs.
Prior to joining TDS, John supported the startup of three new plants for Gulf Oil Chemicals in Baytown, Texas. He led planning and scheduling efforts for plant maintenance, small capital, and turnaround efforts at the BP/Amoco Cedar and Chocolate Bayou facilities. He also headed up efforts in plant mechanical reliability resulting in large reductions in mechanical downtime. John initiated and refined the use of new packaging materials and streamlined shipping procedures, resulting in a significant reduction in customer complaints as well as cost savings for the Cedar Bayou facility. He also led and piloted corporate and regional purchasing initiatives for goods and services.
He led a grassroots training department startup for a coal gasification facility in North Dakota, assisting the client with policies and procedures for the department. Concurrently, John managed a project to develop training guides and evaluations based on the client’s existing technical materials.
