Averell Mars

Resource Manager

Averell Mars has over 22 years of diverse operations and management experience in the refining and personnel/systems development industries. Averell’s background in process operations and technical services has provided him with a broad insight into most aspects of the design, development and implementation of process operations training concepts and protocols.

Prior to joining TDS, Averell worked as an Operations Training Supervisor in the HOVENSA Oil Refinery (St. Croix USVI), where he managed the Operations Complex training program. The program focused improvement of employees’ knowledge and skills, refresher training and an overall technical training philosophy to ensure continuous personnel development. Averell worked to establish and maintain a tracking system for operator and supervisor certification attaining zero OSHA violation as goal objective resulting in 100% compliance achieved.
