is a fundamental course on teaching others what you know. It is
designed for the subject matter expert (SME) assigned the responsibility
of conducting new and refresher employee training while working
the job. Participants will learn and have an opportunity to practice
verbal communication skills, the six-step process for teaching
others, and how to adjust training to accommodate the three different
learning styles: auditory, visual and kinesthetic. During the
course, each attendee will discover how he/she learns and how
that influences the way they teach.

focus of this test-writing workshop is evaluation of the learner
(What do they know?). Participants will learn to develop test
items (questions) and to compile those items to formulate a written
test instrument that achieves maximum reliability and validity.
Attendees will also be taught how to develop and when to use True
and False, Multiple Choice, Matching and Essay questions to determine
the knowledge of an individual. The course begins with a brief
overview of learning objectives, a required component for test
construction. Simulation and/or demonstration as an evaluation
tool are not taught in this workshop (See Evaluator Workshop).

the stage for evaluation, use effective questioning techniques
and manage non-verbal communication that can influence qualification
results. They will also learn effective feedback techniques for
use during the debrief session that follows each evaluation. The
course is designed for individuals assigned the responsibility
of conducting technical skill qualification or certification examinations
