Sample Projects

The following list represents a sample of TDS clients as well as the application of some of our full service capabilities. 

Air Liquide America Corporation
TDS has conducted a comprehensive job task analysis and macro-level curriculum design for all operators and mechanics. TDS is also providing training for those personnel responsible for training or coaching the trainees, as well as developing process and mechanical technician training. 

Albemarle Corporation (Magnolia, Arkansas)
TDS performed a Baseline Skill Assessment on the existing location workforce using the Test of Adult Basic Education, TABE™. Results from the assessment are being used to focus follow-up training and development of the workforce. 

American Chemical Society (Washington, D.C.)
TDS was contracted by the ACS under a grant from the Department of Education to develop a course catalog of Operator and Laboratory Technician training material published in 1997 as Foundations for Excellence in the Chemical Process Industries. In conjunction with the catalog, TDS served on the steering committee for the development of an Alliance Model for education, industry and community to better support workforce development and School to Work initiatives. 

American Petroleum Institute (Washington, D.C.)
TDS developed and delivered a series of workshops to introduce and teach the application of the new API document Federally Mandated Training and Information, Publication 1200. Workshops were conducted in Philadelphia, Houston and Los Angeles. 

Amoco Chemical (Houston, Texas)
TDS compiled and edited technical materials for the Worldwide Engineering and Construction Group to make the material more user friendly to the non-engineer. TDS also developed self-paced material for use by engineers to learn new software for the documentation of Process Hazard Analysis. 

Amoco Chemical
TDS custom developed technical training material for the new Metaxylene and Polypropylene Process Unit. The training material developed addressed all technical aspects of unit operations including, Startup, Shutdown, Troubleshooting and Emergency response. 

BMC Software
TDS developed a series of six modules designed for new BMC managers to understand the roles and responsibilities of leadership at BMC and to develop their ability to deal with basic "people" responsibilities of their position. Leadership @ BMC is designed to be highly interactive and consists of modules for each of the following subject areas: Policies & Procedures, Managing within the Law, Employment & Selection, Performance Management, Compensation, and Fundamentals of Business at BMC. 

CITGO Corporation (Tulsa, Oklahoma)
TDS developed and delivered a performance-based trainer certification program for all facility Training Coordinators, Training Managers and Course Developers. The eleven (11) day Trainer Certification program is accredited by the University of Southern Mississippi, USM. 

College of the Mainland (Texas City, Texas)
TDS is under contract with College of the Mainland to manage its Process Technology Associate of Applied Science Degree Program and serve as Program Director. TDS is also under contract to deliver courses to qualify industry trainers selected to teach technical courses at the College. The first of these courses, Interactive Instructor, was presented to industry experts selected to teach in the new Process Technician Associate Degree Program. 

Compaq Computer (Houston, Texas)
TDS provides on-site consulting, systems management and administration services for the management and supervisory training initiative. Activities include course scheduling, attendee scheduling, records management and room setup, as well as consulting services in course selection, design and delivery. 

Enron Gas Pipeline Group (Houston, Texas)
TDS designed and developed a business acumen training program for their experienced field operators to expand the decision making capability of self-directed work teams. 

First Bank & Trust (Groves, Texas)
TDS conducted a general training needs assessment at their main branch office. After a review of the report, FB&T utilized TDS to assist in additional follow-up work. 

Hoechst Celanese (multiple locations)
TDS has conducted a number of workshops and provided a wide range of consulting services to a number of their locations including Bishop, Pampa, Dallas and Houston, Texas. TDS developed the Job Descriptions, Performance Objectives and Resource Reference List for the Hoechst Celanese Lead Trainer Position. We continue today to serve a number of their locations by providing consulting services and workshops. 

Phillips 66 Company (Pasadena and Sweeny, Texas)
TDS has delivered Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and Interactive Instructor Workshops to Phillips Trainers and Coordinators in both the Pasadena and Sweeny facilities. 

Production Operators, Inc. (Houston, Texas)
TDS developed a comprehensive organizational learning strategy. This strategy includes a plan for job tasks analyses, course material development and customized workshops. Working from the plan, TDS is developing training guides and performance support material. TDS also acts on an on-going basis as a full-service training department providing services ranging from strategic planning to records management. 

Sterling Chemical (Texas City, Texas)
TDS serves on an on-going basis as a full-service training department providing services ranging from strategic planning, records management, course material development and procedure writing. 

Union Carbide (Texas City)
TDS performed a facility wide employee training and development system assessment to determine performance capabilities of the existing system, training needs, development system requirements, and expectations. Results from the assessment are being used to determine the structure of their training and development system.

University of Texas Medical Branch (Galveston, Texas)
TDS assisted in the development and administration of a 360-degree performance appraisal process for the facility. TDS processed all of the input forms and generated the final feedback reports. 

Vista Chemical Company (Houston, Texas)
TDS developed a three-year Strategic Training Plan for Vista Chemical Company. Issues addressed in the plan included ISO Registration, Regulatory Compliance, Operational Productivity, and the creation of a total training and development system to support Vista's many training initiatives. TDS also performed the Analysis and Design work for the company-wide SAP implementation training program.
