Senior Performance Consultant - Hydrocarbon Industry

Position Description
Act as an internal consultant to teams of technical developers who create customized training materials for operations and maintenance personnel in the hydrocarbon industry. Review materials for adherence to sound instructional models including adult principles of learning, instructional systems design (ISD), testing validation tools and Bloom’s taxonomy.

Lead in the identification, design and development of a wide range of customized performance solutions to address specific business objectives for multiple clients in the hydrocarbon industry. Work closely with clients to translate their business needs into practical solutions including tutorials, simulations, on-job-training systems, classroom instruction, e-learning, and self-instruction modules. Understand and apply appropriate models, systems and techniques to develop successful outcomes.

Work Experience
At least 10 years direct experience as an external performance consultant with business clients providing technical and non-technical improvement performance solutions with at least four of those years in the hydrocarbon industry. Direct experience working with subject matter experts on defining organizational and learning interventions.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Instructional Systems Design, Human Performance Improvement Systems, Performance Consulting, Web Based Learning, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and other applicable software.

Physical Demands
Physical demands for the position include lifting and moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds, standing for extended periods of time (4-6 hours) and traveling to client sites.

Educational Requirements
Masters degree in a training and development related field or Bachelors degree and equivalent experience.

Salary and Benefits
Salary commensurate with experience. Full benefits package available. Candidates must be able to work daily in the corporate office (SE Houston). Relocation assistance available.
