Project Coordinator

Position Description
You will be responsible for setting up document, file and knowledge management, time keeping and project planning tools to track multiple aspects of client projects. You will schedule and track client projects including costs, products developed/delivered and personnel utilized.

You will work with an elevated level of autonomy, taking direction from external clients as well as internal/external consultants, outside training suppliers and vendors. You will be responsible for supporting project teams in the design development, editing, proof reading, production and distribution of training solutions for clients. You will guide, instruct, and serve as an expert to internal consultants and management on issues requiring expertise in training design standards, processes, and procedures. These solutions may include paper-based and electronic materials as well as other types of deliverables for clients. Must be able to use computer technology and related office equipment effectively.

You will also coordinate the work of training coordinators and administrator personnel assigned to support external clients.

Some overtime and local travel may be required based on client needs.

Work Experience
At least five to seven years of office experience including supporting client projects, coordinating the work of others, and using Microsoft Office Suite and other specialty software proficiently. At least three years of editing and proof reading experience and three years experience managing or coordinating training events, conferences, or programs. Three years of experience working on a project team of three or more members. Three years of experience handling training administration, logistics and tracking for multiple project activities.

Knowledge and Skills
Comprehensive knowledge of project planning, scheduling and tracking, and related tools.
Knowledge and/or practical experience in instructional systems design preferred.
Ability to work with subject matter experts and/or instructional designers, technologists or developers to meet training program requirements.

Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office and MS Project.

Intermediate to advanced skills in publishing and graphics software.
Intermediate skills in all MS Outlook functions.
Intermediate skills in Internet Explorer.
Knowledge and experience with learning management systems (LMS) or other project management or event planning software.
Organizational skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
At least 60 wpm.
Proven editing and proof reading skills.

Physical Demands
Physical demands for the position include lifting and moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds, sitting for long periods of time (6-8 hours) and driving to purchase supplies.

Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred.
