Troy Waters, Global Workforce Performance Advisor with TDS, has more than 15 years of direct experience in training, workforce development and performance-improvement consulting. His experience includes various roles in training in the petrochemical, refining and aerospace industries.
Having experienced a variety of management styles and cultures while working during high school and college, Troy was drawn to the human side of the industry early in his professional career. He recognized how much inefficiency could impact the performance of employees and the organization as a whole. He also learned that providing the right people with the right training, incentives and resources makes a huge difference in the success of a company. He knew early that he wanted to be involved in helping individuals and organizations become as effective and productive as possible.
Troy came to TDS because of its family culture and flexibility and because he saw that the company makes a real difference in the safety and efficiency of its clients' workforces.
Troy is affiliated with many professional organizations including the American Society for Training and Development (National and Houston Chapter) and the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association. He also started the ASTD Southeast Houston Community Training Network in 2007.
